Online GCSE, A Level and IELTS Tutoring in the UK

Nexus Academy offers online GCSE and A Level tutoring in the UK from £14 per hour. IELTS preparation starts from £25 per hour. All sessions are one-to-one and include a personalised study plan and monthly progress reports. There are no minimum commitments and no lock-in contracts.

Nexus Academy tutors AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR GCSEs and A Levels — the three main Ofqual-regulated boards in England — plus Cambridge IGCSE where a UK family needs it. Pearson is the awarding organisation; Edexcel is its GCSE and A Level brand. We teach the specification your child’s school has already entered.

All Nexus Academy tutors are UK-qualified — holding UK degrees, QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), or equivalent professional teaching qualifications. Every tutor is vetted with an interview and a subject knowledge assessment before working with students.

Yes. Nexus Academy takes UK students after results day for Year 12 catch-up or for GCSE Maths and English Language November resits. Other GCSE subjects are not in the November series — those wait until the following summer. Book a free demo so we match the board and the deadline.

For UK universities, IELTS Academic is usually the safer default; Nexus Academy prepares the test named on the offer letter. IELTS for UKVI is on the Home Office Secure English Language Test list when a Student visa SELT is required. TOEFL is not a UKVI SELT, though some sponsors still accept it for admission and confirm English on the CAS.
